Nicole Jenkins, MFT                         CA MFC #52743
                                                       AK MFT #270

I provide individual, couples, and family counseling services.

I was raised in Nevada County, CA, and am a graduate of the local High School. I relocated to Palmer, AK, in 2014, with my husband and our 2 dogs. I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology at UC Davis and my master's degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy at University of Phoenix. I began my career in 2005, working with at-risk youth in residential treatment, where my ability to build rapport with angry, hurt, and disillusioned youth allowed me to reach struggling adolescents and help them rebuild relationships with family, friends, and community. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and families in a variety of settings, including private practice, outpatient clinics, homes, public and non-public schools, residential treatment facilities, juvenile detention facilities, and within the community. I provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment where my clients can feel safe sharing their thoughts and struggles as they work through a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and relationship issues. I have a strong background in helping clients work through depression, anxiety, trauma and abuse, addictions, grief and loss, child and adolescent behavioral difficulties, domestic violence, parenting and co-parenting struggles, family and relationship problems, anger management, and more. I recognize that each client is unique and I offer a highly personalized approach, pulling from a variety of theories and techniques, to maximize my client's ability to succeed in making the desired changes in their life, relationships, or behaviors.
